Cordoba and the 'Los Patios' Festival

The typical Cordoban house was traditionally whitewashed and built around a patio, many of which have spectacular geraniums growing there in pots. Regretably, few are normally open to the publich.

For two weeks in May, however, this year from May 7 to May 18, the people of Cordoba compete to see which house has the loveliest patio, and you can go round to see for yourself.

So that you can take advantage of the chance to see Cordoba looking its magnificent best, and learn some Spanish at the same time, we have a special offer of two weeks on an intensive Spanish course, 20 hours a week, plus two weeks in a single room in a shared apartment, Sunday May 4 to Saturday May 17, along with a walking tour of Córdoba's Patio Competition as well as the other events on our social program.
