Social and cultural program in Cordoba

Academia Hispanica offers a comprehensive activity program all the year round, both in the school and around the city.

We hold parties at the school and organise meetings with Spanish students. We offer Spanish film showings every week, as well as talks, conferences and recitals, etc.

Outside the school we organise guided tours where our students will soon discover that Cordoba is a versatile, charming place to stay: from the warmth of its people and the climate, which allows for all kinds of outdoor activities during most of the year, to the wide variety of leisure, cultural activities (concerts, movies, theatre), sports (horse riding, tennis, golf, hiking), going out to pubs, bars, clubs, and so on.

Cordoba is also an ideal place for a first contact with Spain and its cultural heritage. There are some interesting and beautiful walks, such as walking through the Jewish quarter ("La Judería"), or visiting a number Romanesque or Gothic churches dotted round the city. Every week we take our students to museums and monuments. Each month we organise different excursions to nearby cities such as Seville, Granada, Ronda and Montilla. A tour of the city's best eating-places will make your stay in Cordoba unforgettable.

Excursions

One day excursions every week. Not included in course fees (price: approx €15-€25):

• Excursions within the province of Cordoba: "Perol" (outdoor meal) in the Sierra; Medina Azahara and Almodovar Castle (with packed lunch in the Ermitas); visit to Montilla wine cellars; Subbetica Natural Park (Villages of Cabra, Zuheros and Priego)
• Excursions outside the province: Seville and Granada
