Work experience in Spain with IH San Sebastian

Our work experience program includes 13 weeks learning Spanish followed by 13 or 26 weeks working in a Spanish company (pictured, right).

The course includes two modules of specific preparation, Business Spanish and interview preparation. In this period we select the work placement possibilities and the student will have to attend interviews.

The practice work is 35 hours a week, and we do follow-up, reports and grading.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18
• Be enrolled in an University or a Higher Education College
• European citizens: Must bring an E-111 form in order to be covered by Social Security
• Non-European citizens: Must come with a student visa, which will be extended once in San Sebastian
• Initial level of Spanish: May be from beginner to intermediate. In cases of a higher level, we will consider the possibility of a shorter language course and a corresponding price reduction
• Other requirements: Students must be motivated, attend all their Spanish lessons, do the assigned work in order to reach a minimum level to be able to work in a Spanish speaking environment. They must also participate in the practicum selection, including interviews

Admission process

In order to be admitted, students must fill in our registration form, send a complete CV, a passport photocopy, and write a letter indicating their professional background, level of education, why they are interested in this program and what sort of practice work they seek and a short description of themselves.

All the documents should be sent at least 8 weeks before the start of the course and in Spanish.

Six month program

• 3 months studying Spanish, 15 hours a week plus 2 modules of one week specific preparation
• 3 months working in a company, 35 hours a week
