Following is a summary of the goals which are set for each level.

They will be able to understand general informative texts as well as literary texts that require some basic knowledge of the Spanish culture.

6 Advanced

Students are able to infer the opinions of others and express their own opinion during a conversation. As well as being able to write texts of certain length and complexity, they will be able to recognise the most frequently used styles and perceive implicit elements such as irony, metaphors etc.Their fluency and pronunciation will allow others to understand them without difficulty.

7 Superior

The student will be able to maintain a fluent conversation using discursive techniques which will allow them to speak correctly. They will be able to select the appropriate vocabulary and forms for different situations. They will be able to reformulate speech in order to argue opposite points of view and try to convince someone. They will be able to read literature by contemporary authors that make reference to specific cultural topics. For written work they will be able to use different creative styles.

8 Proficiency
