Spanish in Spain with IH Spain

IH SpainFor those on a study abroad year, as well as for anyone interested in a shorter stay, IH Spain's "Spanish in Spain" study tour allows you to try different combinations of cities and courses, taking advantage of our eight centres to travel round Spain while you study Spanish.

Your trip could, for example, take in several cities in the south of Spain, or you might want to spend time in cities that will offer you interesting contrasts - such as Barcelona and Madrid, Barcelona and San Sebastian or the contrast between the north and south of Spain, between San Sebastian and one or more of our centres in Andalusia, to take just some of the possibilities.

With eight different Spanish cities to choose from, there are lots of different combinations to choose from [ locate our schools on map of Spain ].

Prices given below are for 20 Spanish lessons per week on intensive courses at any of our eight schools.

Prices

For a minimum two-week stay at two or more centres, we offer a special course price of €145 per week (2007, €150 per week) to which a single €50 registration fee should be added.

While there is thus a standard fee for your Spanish course, note that accommodation fees vary according to the type of accommodation you choose and the time of year, as well as according to which centres you choose.

Please contact us for personalized quote (contact details at the foot of this page).

Booking a combined study program

You should attend a minimum of 2 weeks per centre and may request to stay as many weeks as you require.

Application should be made to the first school you choose to attend.

A deposit, deductible from the total course fees, is required to complete a booking (see booking page of your first school for details).

The total fees for the program (minus the previously paid deposit) should be paid to the first school to be attended 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the program. Refer to the "Booking" page of the first school you will attend to obtain payment conditions.

The first school will send you the confirmation for the complete program of all cities to be attended.

Travel information

By air

Most of our centres are readily accessible by air, both within Spain and from other places in Europe. Flight times vary from the 30 minutes it takes to fly from Barcelona to Palma to a maximum 1 hour 25 mins from Barcelona to Seville.

For cheap flights inside Spain, you will find the travel portal eDreams very good, with atrapalo.com (which requires registration) also being a reliable alternative.

Cheap internal flights are also to be found on the websites of airlines operating such services, including Spanair and Vueling.

By rail

While Spain is still constructing some of its high-speed AVE train network, it has a fast reliable train service between most of its main cities.

Travel times vary considerable according to the type of train you take, with a rail trip between Barcelona and Madrid, for example, varying between 5 and 8 hours journey time.

Full details of train times and prices are to be found on the website of the Spanish rail service, RENFE.
