While the course is on, we also provide a 24–hour emergency support service.

 

Junior Spanish course

In the summer we offer special courses for students aged between 12 and 16. This programme and consists of 3 Spanish classes per day in the morning and many cultural and sports activities in the afternoon.

Lessons

There are 3 lessons of 55 minutes per day in the morning. Groups are maximum 10 students. The lessons are focused on communication. The classes are based on tasks and planned depending on the students' needs and different styles of learning. Groups are organized per levels.

Material

A textbook is used in class, together with diverse course material prepared by the Españolé-IH teachers.

Certificate

At the end of the course, students are given an attendance certificate indicating the course taken, the number of hours of study and the level reached, in addition to a detailed report on their progress in each language area.

Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged in selected host families in double rooms. All meals are included: Students have breakfast and dinner with the host family. Lunch is arranged as a picnic at the school terrace or in a nearby park, students will bring their picnic pack from the host family.

Programme of activities

The programme of extra-curricular activities, is a fundamental part of the programme. It is coordinated to by both teachers and the group leaders. It is the perfect compliment to the language course as students enjoy their free time and at the same time reinforce what they have learnt in school. Transfers

Transfer is included from Valencia airport to the school on Sundays. The host family will pick up the student from the school.

• Sunday: Arrival in Valencia and transfer to the host family
• Monday: Welcome talk and placement test (am); walking tour of Valencia (pm)
• Tuesday: Spanish classes (am); cultural workshop, sports afternoon (pm)
• Wednesday: Spanish classes (am); cultural workshop, cultural visit in Valencia (pm)
• Thursday: Spanish classes (am); cultural workshop, sports afternoon
• Friday: Spanish classes (am); cultural workshop, shopping in the city centre
• Saturday: full-day excursion
• Sunday: day at the beach

Dinner and evening are spent with your host family.
