Arrival and departure days

Sunday is the usual arrival day, and Saturday the day of departure.

Accommodation is available from Sunday at 12.00 to Saturday at 12.00. Normal procedure is for information regarding accommodation to be left at the Hotel La Casa del Califa (Plaza de España), for students to collect when they arrive in Vejer.

Students staying in shared flats or houses or in school accommodation will also find keys there.

 

 

Accommodation in Vejer de la Frontera

La Janda offers several different types of accommodation in Vejer, including shared flats, Spanish host families and exclusive apartments.

Living with a host family

With a host family, students have their own room and either full or half board (three or two meals per day). The living room and bathroom are shared with the other members of the family. The kitchen is almost always reserved for the members of the family.

Students also have access to the terrace, patio or balcony, if the house has one. Laundry service once a week is included.

Please indicate the student's wishes: smoking or non-smoking family, with children or teenagers at home, a quieter one, vegetarian, with or without pets, etc.

Shared flats

Living with other foreign students from the school in typical Andalusian village houses or in flats.

Two to six students share a house or flat with individual or double rooms, one or two bathrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine. Bed linen is provided but students are asked to bring their own towels. During the cold months heating is provided in the common areas.

Rooms are handed over clean and tidy. Students are expected to cooperate with the daily duties of their room and communal areas.

Own Apartment

The Colegio de Español La Janda is housed in a beautiful historic building in the centre of the old part of Vejer. We have two private apartments, each with a kitchen/living room, twin bedroom and a suite bathroom.

Hotel or boarding house

La Janda can reserve hotel or hostel accommodation, upon request. Prices vary according to standards.

• Hostal La Posada, Avenida de Los Remedios €40-€50

Own Apartment and Apart-Hotel accommodation is available upon request.

Prices vary between 30 and 55 per day depending on the time of the year and type of apartment. Early booking is advisable.

At a campsite in Vejer or on the beach

There are several inexpensive campsites near Vejer, some of which are very close to the beach. If you bring a vehicle, a campsite might be an alternative to accommodation in town. If you wish, we can make a reservation for you.
